    Tamil Nadu: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) office was attacked in Coimbatore district of Tamil Nadu late on Thursday night. Let us tell you that a case of throwing a bottle filled with flammable material by an unknown person has come to light in the BJP office. At the same time, BJP workers have demonstrated fiercely after the incident. After getting information about the attack on the party office, the police reached the spot and tried to convince the protesting party people.

    Raids against PFI at many places across the country

    BJP worker Nandkumar said that petrol bomb has been hurled at our office. That’s how terrorist attacks happen. Let us inform that on Thursday morning, raids were conducted against PFI in many places across the country and BJP National President JP Nadda is also in this state. Please tell that a bottle filled with petrol was thrown in the BJP office premises located at VKK.

    Incident caught on CCTV

    In the footage of a CCTV camera installed near the spot, it can be seen that a bottle is seen coming from the other side of the road and falling into the BJP office. However, the camera did not show who threw the flammable bottle. Katur Police Station Inspector S. Lata and team reached the party office and checked the bottle filled with petrol. According to the police, the bottle was not set on fire. Two people were standing in front of the party office at the time of the incident. There is police security in the party office as well.

    On receiving the news of the incident, BJP workers gathered in front of the office in large numbers. They blocked the road in Gandhipuram condemning the incident.

    Forensic team reached the spot

    Police have collected CCTV footage from the party office premises and adjoining business premises. Forensic team also reached the spot and took samples. The second attack took place at Maruti Selection, a wholesale clothing shop on Oppanakara Street. The employees told the police that the fuel-filled bottle fell in front of the showroom, due to which no damage was reported. Hundreds of police personnel were deployed across the city to prevent any untoward incident.

    Let us tell you that even before this, there were serial bomb blasts in Coimbatore on 14 February 1998. At that time senior BJP leader and then party president LK Advani was on tour. 58 people were killed and about 200 people were injured in that bombing.
