New Delhi, June 10 – Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a significant meeting on Tuesday evening at his official residence, 7 Lok Kalyan Marg, with Members of Parliament who recently returned from diplomatic visits abroad. The meeting focused on India’s growing global engagement and its commitment to peace and counter-terrorism. However, one absence drew attention — AIMIM chief and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi.
Owaisi Cites Medical Emergency for Missing Key Meet
Owaisi’s absence prompted speculation in political circles, but he soon clarified his reasons. In a telephonic conversation with ANI, Owaisi stated:
“I am out of the country due to a medical emergency. I had to urgently travel to Dubai as a close relative and childhood friend fell seriously ill. I informed my delegation leader Baijayant Panda beforehand.”
This response came before the issue could be politicized, effectively curbing unnecessary controversy.
