Demand for making Rahul Gandhi the president again intensifies
On the other hand, as the election for the post of Congress President is approaching, the demand for Rahul Gandhi to be made the President once again within the party has intensified. In the same sequence, on Monday also eight local units of the party, including seven state Congress committees, passed resolutions in support of Rahul Gandhi. The last date for withdrawal of nominations is October 08. Voting will be held on October 17 if there is more than one candidate. The results will be declared on October 19.
