New Delhi: South Zone beat West Zone by 294 runs in the final of Duleep Trophy. South Zone had set a target of 529 runs in front of West Zone, but West Zone was reduced to just 234 runs. However, the last day of the final match was full of controversies. In this match, South Zone captain Ajinkya Rahane had asked his team’s young player Yashasvi Jaiswal to leave the field.
Actually, Rahane had to take such a step due to Yashasvi Jaiswal’s indiscipline attitude. Yashasvi was sledging the South Zone batsmen especially Ravi Teja. At that time the umpires had also warned Yashasvi about it two or three times. But when Yashasvi did it once again in the 57th over of the innings, the umpires could not hold on and he had a long conversation with captain Rahane, after which the captain asked Yashasvi to leave the field.

The special thing about all this was that, the umpires did not allow South Zone to substitute fielder, due to which he had to stay on the field with 10 players for a few overs. However, 20-year-old Jaiswal once again stepped on the field after almost seven overs.
