Panchkula Municipal Corporation has taken this decision in view of increasing dog attacks from many places. The Municipal Corporation has banned the keeping of Pitbull and Rottweiler dog breeds as pets. Panchkula Mayor Kulbhushan Goyal told media persons in Panchkula that this decision was taken in a meeting of the corporation’s house. According to him there were 24 agenda items before the meeting and all were passed by the House. The mayor said, “As far as the issue related to dogs is concerned, the pet owners who have not registered their dogs will be fined Rs 2000. Apart from this, two fierce breeds of dogs have been banned in the city. Pitbull and Rottweiler breeds are banned in many other cities and they have been banned in Panchkula as well.
