Uttar Pradesh Big preparations of Yogi government bus stands will be equipped with state-of-the-art facilities

Uttar Pradesh: Preparations are being made to equip UP’s bus stands with state-of-the-art facilities. In this episode, now preparations are being made to build bus stands with international facilities in every district of the state. Under this, in the first phase, 24 bus stands in 16 districts will be developed under PPP model. Passenger facilities of international standard will be available in these bus stands. From the food and drink of the passengers coming here, all the amenities including waiting room, rest room will be taken care of. Tenders for this will be issued in October.

Complete planning done under PPP model

Sanjay Kumar, MD, State Road Transport Corporation said that complete planning has been done under the PPP model to equip the bus stands with international facilities. In October, under the first phase, tenders will be issued to identify and develop 24 bases in 16 districts. In the second phase of this process, 35 bus stands will be selected. This step is being taken as per the intention of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, so that airport facilities can be provided to the passengers going to different destinations.

Buildings will be developed like malls

Under this process, the Transport Department will provide only land for bus stands. A private party will build a bus stand on it. For a few years, this bus stand will be on lease with a private party, while the responsibility of maintenance will also be entirely with the private party. The Transport Department has fixed a period of 35 years for the maintenance. It can be extended further as per the need. 70 percent area of ​​the bus stand will remain open, where buses will operate. At the same time, only 30 percent of the building will be constructed. These buildings will be developed like malls. Branded facilities will be ensured for the passengers here. All food retail chains will be present here. Along with food and drink, there will also be other big shopping shops. It will be equipped with all other facilities including escalator, lift.

Only land will be given to the government

Under the PPP model, the government has to provide only land. From construction for passenger amenities, all other necessary things will have to be arranged and spent by the private party. On land also, the government will get the benefit under one percent DM circle rate. It will increase by 10% every 3 years. According to MD Sanjay Kumar, the entire focus of the government is on quality. If the quality is good then the number of passengers will increase. More people will travel by roadways buses. At the same time, investment in this sector will also increase.
