    Tensions between Israel and Lebanon are rising rapidly. This tension has also raised concerns in other countries. The US and UK governments have advised their citizens to leave Lebanon on ‘any available ticket’, amid fears of a war between Israel and Hezbollah and a wider regional conflict.

    The US embassy in Lebanon said that even though some airlines have suspended their services to the country, flights are still available and citizens should immediately book any available flights to leave the Middle East country, reports news agency AFP.

    ‘Take any flight and leave Lebanon’

    The US Embassy in Beirut said, ‘The US Embassy has learned that many airlines have suspended or canceled flights and many flights are booked. However, commercial transport options are still available to leave Lebanon. We advise those wishing to leave Lebanon to book any ticket available, even if the flight is not immediate or on their preferred route.’

    ‘British citizens should leave immediately’

    Meanwhile, the UK government has also instructed all British citizens present in Lebanon to leave immediately. British Foreign Minister David Lammy said in a statement, “The tension is very high and the situation can deteriorate rapidly.” According to news agency AFP, he said, “My clear message to British citizens is – leave immediately.” Apart from America and Britain, many other countries have also issued advisories to their citizens asking them to leave Lebanon as soon as possible.

    Indian Embassy also issued advisory

    Earlier, the Indian Embassy in Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, had asked Indian citizens to leave the country. Apart from India, many other countries have also advised their citizens not to travel to Lebanon. They have also asked their citizens to leave Lebanon. Australia has advised its citizens not to travel to Lebanon and to leave from there as soon as possible.
