Ranji Trophy 2023: Indore, Naiduniya representative. Madhya Pradesh bowlers raised hopes of the hosts as they created excitement in what looked to be a one-sided quarter-final match in the Ranji Trophy. After trailing by 151 runs in the first innings, the MP bowlers bundled out the Andhra Pradesh team for 93 runs on Thursday. At stumps, MP had scored 58 runs without any loss. The team is currently 187 runs behind the target. 16 wickets fell in the day’s play. In the second innings, MP opener Yash Dubey (24 not out) and Himanshu Mantri (31 not out) did not let the team face any setback while playing carefully. The special thing in the match was that Andhra Pradesh captain Hanuma Vihari, who was running out of the Indian Test team, came out to bat at number 11 despite a hand injury.
Earlier on Thursday morning at the Holkar Stadium, MP extended their innings ahead by scoring 144/4. But the batsmen kept losing wickets continuously and the whole team returned to the pavilion for 228 runs. It seemed that the match had become one-sided, but the MP bowlers did not allow the Andhra Pradesh batsmen to settle down. The entire team was reduced to 93 runs in just 32.3 overs.
Play Hanuma with one hand
