    Digvijay Singh may meet Sonia Gandhi tomorrow

Party sources said that Digvijay Singh will reach Delhi on Wednesday night and he is also likely to meet Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Thursday. Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijay Singh may file nomination papers at a time when the possibility of Chief Minister Gehlot filing nomination papers has been put in question due to the political crisis in Rajasthan.

    Tharoor to file nomination for the post of president on September 30

    At the same time, Lok Sabha member Shashi Tharoor will file nomination for the post of Speaker on September 30. As per the announced schedule for the election of Congress President, the notification was issued on September 22 and the process of filing nomination papers began on September 24, which will continue till September 30. The last date for withdrawal of nomination papers is October 08. In case of more than one candidate, voting will be held on October 17 and results will be declared on October 19.

    Actually, this rebellion started after the speculation of changing the Chief Minister in Rajasthan after the announcement of Ashok Gehlot to contest the Congress Presidential elections. After Gehlot, there was talk of making Sachin Pilot the Chief Minister, but the MLAs of the Gehlot camp are not happy about the name of Sachin Pilot. The MLAs of the Gehlot camp have demanded that the new chief minister be among the 102 MLAs who were loyal to the Congress party in June 2020, when an attempt was made to topple the Congress government. Former Deputy CM of Rajasthan Sachin Pilot is also presently in Delhi.
