Raipur Ramayan: State Culture Minister Amarjeet Bhagat said that Lord Shri Ram has suffered many hardships in the form of human incarnation, every moment of his life is exemplary for us.

Chhattisgarh Culture Minister Amarjeet Bhagat inaugurated the three-day state level Ramayana competition at Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium in capital Raipur here today. Minister Bhagat said that in the whole world including Chhattisgarh, Ramayana is staged and worship of the deity is done through Manas Gaan. Ramayana Manas Mandali holds an important place in the culture of Chhattisgarh. This is our cultural heritage.
Minister Bhagat said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, the state government is working to take the ideals and values of Lord Ram to the people in the state through Ramayana Manas Mandali. He said that it is a matter of pride to be proud of our work, our culture, our dialect and our state. Chhattisgarh is the birthplace of Lord Shri Ram, the state government is constantly working towards promoting the culture of Chhattisgarh. On the initiative of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, the Ram Van Gaman Tourism Circuit Scheme has been started to preserve the places associated with the journey undertaken by Lord Shri Ram during his exile in Chhattisgarh. Under the scheme, many places from Sitamarhi Har-Chauka to Dandakaranya are being identified and developed.
Minister Amarjeet Bhagat said that Lord Shri Ram has suffered many hardships in the form of human incarnation, every moment of his life is exemplary for us. Lord Shriram completely followed the norms even in the form of an ordinary human being. That is why Lord Shri Ram is also known as Maryada Purushottam.
Addressing the program, Chairman of Gau Sewa Ayog, Rajeshree Mahant Ramsunder Das said that Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel is working to promote Sanatan Dharma and the culture of Chhattisgarh along with serving the public. He is working to preserve and promote the culture of Chhattisgarh. Ramayana troupes are getting a platform at the national level today. He said that Ramcharit Manas is a rare book which touches our lives, it should reach the masses, it is our duty.
Parliamentary Secretary Vikas Upadhyay said that he thanks the Chief Minister for organizing this holy event. We get an opportunity to understand and know each other’s culture through such events. Director of Culture Department Mr. Vivek Acharya said that the Ramayana troupe competition is being organized for the last 3 years, this is the third event. This year this event is being organized in national format. Shivrinarayan in the first year, Rajim in the second year and National Ramayana Festival is being organized in Raigad this year. In the National Ramayana Competition to be held in Raigarh, along with Manas Manchan, tableaux will also be presented. Apart from this, the staging of the artists of foreign Ramayana troupe will also be the attraction of the festival.
He informed that the state government has also made a provision of grant to financially empower the members of Ramayana Mandali. So far, a grant of Rs 2.5 crore has been given to Manas Mandalis. On this occasion, Alok Chandrakar, chairman of the Animal and Plant Board, MIC member Sundar Jogi, along with the judges and artists of Manas Mandali from different districts were present.
