Prayagraj: A hospital in Prayagraj has constituted an inquiry committee after a video of a woman offering prayers in the premises surfaced. However, the police on Friday said that no crime has been committed. Tej Bahadur Sapru Hospital (Bailey Hospital) superintendent Dr MK Akhouri said that on Thursday, Sabiha, a friend of the lady Shaheen admitted in the dengue ward, had come to meet her and suddenly in the afternoon she sat down to offer Namaz in the same ward. He told that someone made a video of the woman offering Namaz and posted it on social media. He also said that the people of the hospital administration reached the spot and warned the woman not to do so.
woman’s act is not a crime
Dr Akhouri said that the hospital administration has constituted a committee to investigate the incident. Meanwhile, Prayagraj Police said in a tweet regarding the incident that the act of the woman does not come under the category of crime. Also, the police clarified that no FIR has been registered in this regard. Police said in a tweet, “Investigation of the viral video found that the woman, without any malafide intention, without obstructing anyone’s work or movement, offered prayers for the speedy recovery of her hospitalized patient.” ‘
‘Wherever Namaz is offered, an FIR would have been lodged’
Responding to Prayraj’s incident, All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi said in a tweet, “Hospitalized, in any corner taking care of your relative, without hurting anyone, your If you pray according to the religion, then what is the crime in it? Does Uttar Pradesh Police have no other work? Wherever Namaz is offered, FIRs are lodged against Namazis.
