On the commencement of the exercise of Uniform Civil Code, All India Muslim Personal Law Board executive member and Imam of Idgah Maulana Khalid Rasheed Farangi Mahali said that Uniform Civil Code is going to harm the followers of all religions. This is the biggest obstacle in practicing Dharma.
Maulana Khalid Rasheed Farangi Mahli released the video and said that not only the Muslim community has personal laws, but followers of all religions have their own personal laws. Therefore, the Uniform Civil Code is not only going to harm the Muslims but it is going to harm the followers of all religions. Maulana said that culture changes every 200 to 300 km in India.
In a multi-religious and multicultural country like India, the Uniform Civil Code is a violation of the fundamental right to religious freedom. Maulana said that the constitution has given permission to the followers of all religions to follow their religion and culture. Uniform Civil Code will become a big hindrance in practicing our religion and culture. Maulana said that there is an appeal to the government that no such law will be made which will destroy the religious and social customs and traditions of the people.
