Ishaan Kishan has been the standout player this season. He also has the ability to score triple century in ODI cricket. Ishaan Kishan could have done this in the last ODI of the series played in Chittagong, Bangladesh on December 10, on which he also expressed great regret. In that match, he played a blistering batting of 210 runs.
Sunil Gavaskar said, “Had Ishan Kishan continued his innings in that match and not been dismissed in the 36th over, he would have scored the first triple century in ODI cricket history. When we see the talent of young players, it clearly means that they have high hopes for the future. Ishaan has achieved an extraordinary feat with his double century. He achieved this feat very easily. Had he not got out in the 35th or 36th over, we all would have seen the first triple century in ODI history.”
He further said that the way Sunil Gavaskar on Ishan Kishan is batting, it will definitely be seen someday. He is an asset as far as India is concerned. Ishaan has a great ability to play all-round the field. However, if Ishan Kishan maintains his rhythm and fitness, there is every hope that he can make Sunil Gavaskar’s prediction come true in ODI cricket in the days to come.
