Mumbai’s brilliant batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal batted explosively in a match of the latest season of Irani Trophy (Madhya Pradesh vs Rest of India Irani Trophy 2023) and made an unprecedented record in the history of this trophy.

Significantly, on the fourth day of the match against Madhya Pradesh on Saturday, left-handed batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal set a new record. So far only 10 players have been able to make such a record in Indian first class cricket. But, such a record has been made for the first time in Irani Trophy.

Yashasvi Jaiswal has scored a double century and a century in the same Irani Trophy match. He scored 213 runs in the first innings of the match and 144 runs in the second innings.

Apart from this, another record happened in his name. He also became the second player to score 300 runs in a single Irani Cup match. Significantly, 21-year-old Yashasvi Jaiswal is playing for the Rest of India team in this match. In November last year, playing against Bangladesh, he played an innings of 146 runs for India. After that, he scored 162 runs in a match against Hyderabad while playing for Mumbai Kintarag in December.

Talking about the latest match of Irani Trophy 2023, Rest of India scored 484 runs in 121.3 overs (Madhya Pradesh vs Rest of India Irani Trophy 2023). Abhimanyu also played an innings of 154 runs from Rest of India. On the other hand, bowler Avesh Khan took 4 wickets for Rest of India from Madhya Pradesh. Anubhav Agarwal, Ankit Kushwaha and Kumar Kartikeya took 1.1 wickets.
