Dubai: Indian fast bowler Mohammed Siraj became the number one bowler for the first time in the ICC ODI Bowler Rankings. Siraj overtook Trent Boult of New Zealand and Josh Hazlewood of Australia. In the last 12 months, Siraj has performed brilliantly and also bowled very maturely in the ODI series against Sri Lanka and New Zealand.

He took nine wickets in three matches against Sri Lanka and took four wickets in the first match against New Zealand. He has 729 rating points while Hazlewood is only two points behind him. Mohammed Shami is at 32nd position after climbing 11 places. Pakistan captain Babar Azam continues to top the rankings for ODI batsmen.
India has three players in the top ten. Shubman Gill has climbed 20 places to reach the sixth position. Virat Kohli is seventh and Rohit Sharma is in eighth place. (agency)
