Youth dies due to drowning in river in Bhagalpur: relatives blocked forelane by arson, SDRF took out body after 20 hours

During Chhath Puja in Bhagalpur, a young man died due to drowning in the river. Whose body was exhumed after about 20 hours by the SDRF team on Monday evening. The deceased has been identified as Sumit Kumar (13) the only son of Dr Sadanand Yadav, resident of Kanchanpur Kadwa. The incident is of Chhath Ghat of Kosi Par Kadwa Diara Panchayat Kanchanpur under Navgachia block. Where on Sunday itself, during the evening Arghya, the young man drowned due to going into deep water. After which the body of the young man was taken out after about 20 hours on Monday.

Administration delayed in getting the dead body, angry family members

On Monday too, when the body was not found by the administration, the family got angry. The relatives were indignant about the SDRF not reaching on time. After which the family started creating ruckus by setting fire to the four lane near Kadwa High School. The family members, in their anger, blocked the four lane for about 40 minutes. After which the SDRF team reached, then the commotion of the family was pacified.

The relatives of the deceased told that on the day of Sandhya Arghya, we had reached the ghat with the whole family. After which after offering Arghya to Lord Surya, we went back home. But when Sumit was not seen at home, he got suspicious. Then we reached the ghat searching for Sumit and saw that his clothes were lying outside.

The family feared that during the puja, Sumit went into deep water to take a bath. Due to which he drowned in the water itself and he died. The police, who reached the incident, took possession of the body after coming out of the river. After which the body was sent for post-mortem.
