New Delhi: The BCCI (Indian Cricket Board) on Friday invited bids for the media rights of the Women’s Indian Premier League (WIPL) for five years from 2023 to 2027. BCCI secretary Jay Shah said in a media release, “The Governing Council of IPL has invited bids through a tender process from reputed companies to acquire media rights for the 2023-2027 season of the Indian Premier League for Women.”
Whether the bid for media rights will be a one-time sealed deal or will be incremental e-auction bids, it has not been told in detail. The cost of the Invitation for Tender (ITT) bid document shall be Rs.Five Lakhs plus applicable taxes. ITT can be purchased till 31 December 2022.

Interested companies will have to buy ITT. However, only those ITTs fulfilling the eligibility criteria and other terms and conditions will be eligible to bid. It has also been clarified that mere purchase of ITT will not entitle a person to bid. (agency)
