Throwback: Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan are one of the favorite couples of Bollywood. Despite being busy in their work, both do not take care of each other. Jaya Bachchan had said goodbye to the acting world after having two children. Amitabh and Jaya have two children Shweta Nanda and Abhishek Bachchan. After whose birth, he kept distance from the film world. Jaya herself told in an interview about leaving her acting.
Jaya Bachchan had said in an interview – In earlier times, there were not many action scenes in films. These have started now and we are not working now. Jaya Bachchan further said- I have not started working yet. I have three children to take care of.

Jaya Bachchan never shies away from talking about taking leave to take care of her children. Last year, in the podcast of her granddaughter Navya Naveli Nanda, Jaya Bachchan told what sacrifices a woman has to make for her family. Although Jaya objected to this and said – I do not think sacrifice is the right word that I would use. I would say that you are putting someone else’s needs, feelings and thoughts before your own.
Jaya Bachchan further said- It is not a sacrifice, I think when you do something from within, it is not a sacrifice. You know that you are an educated girl, you are an intelligent girl, why are you saying sacrifice.
Leaving career for marriage and children
Jaya Bachchan recalled the time of leaving her work and said- I remember when I stopped working, everyone was saying that she sacrificed her career for marriage and children. But it was not so. I was very happy to be a mother and wife. I was enjoying that role more than films.
On the work front, Jaya Bachchan will soon be seen in the love story of Rocky and Rani, directed by Karan Johar. This film will be released in theaters on 28 July.
