Former block chief, his wife and mother shot dead in Badaun
UP: 3 people of the same family have been shot dead in Badaun. There has been a stir in the area after this incident came to light on Monday evening. This triple murder has been carried out in village Sathra of Ushait police station area of Badaun. The attackers shot dead former block chief and district panchayat member Rakesh Gupta, his wife Sharda and their mother Shanti Devi. Heavy police force has been deployed on the spot and top officials have also reached the spot. Old enmity is said to be the reason behind the murder.
SSP’s statement surfaced
The statement of SSP of Badaun OP Singh has come to the fore in this matter. The bodies of SP leader Rakesh Kumar Gupta, his wife and their mother were found in different rooms of a house in Sathra village of Badaun, he said. Seeing the dead bodies, it seemed that all three had been shot dead. During interrogation, it was found that the enmity of the family is with a local family. Strict action will be taken against those who have carried out this incident.
What do the eyewitnesses say?
Eyewitnesses on this incident say that Rakesh Gupta was the former head of Usawan block and at present was also a Zilla Panchayat member from SP. He was present at his house on Monday evening. During this, some people entered his house and opened fire indiscriminately. Rakesh Gupta, his wife and mother died in this incident. Police is probing the matter and several senior police officers also reached the spot.
