Against the new appointment rule-2023, now the uncle of the Education Minister has come on the road. Retired teacher Parameshwari Prasad Yadav along with other teachers came out on the road today in Madhepura. He termed the Teacher Recruitment Rules as a black law. They are talking about protesting against this till death.
Parmeshwari Prasad Yadav is the uncle of Education Minister Prof. Chandrashekhar. Earlier, during the Ramcharit Manas controversy, he had defended his nephew Prof. Chandrashekhar. He had said that the one who has announced a reward of 10 crores for bringing the education minister’s tongue cut off, we announce to give 20 crores to the one who brings his neck cut off.
What did the education minister’s uncle say while protesting today?
Parmeshwari Prasad Yadav said that the Teacher Recruitment Rules-2023 is a black law for us. In this, the facilities we were already getting have also been abolished. Give the status of state worker without examination. Apply equal weighting for equal work. The transfer policy should be implemented in the entire state. Don’t know how many families of teachers have been ruined due to lack of transfer policy in the last 15-16 years. Our program will run in a phased manner. Today, on Labor Day, they are demonstrating in the districts. After this, we will gherao the division and then the assembly. All of us teachers will give our lives, but will not allow this law to be implemented.

What did you say while supporting the Ramcharit Manas controversy?
Describing the Education Minister as a worshiper of Ramayana, Ram and Bhagwati, he had said that Nagpur school students all over the country used unparliamentary words against our popular Education Minister. Our Education Minister opposed those verses of Ramcharit Manas, which spread social inequality. That’s why we have burnt Manusmriti today.

What is the new rule and why there is protest
The Bihar government has approved the new rules for teacher planning for the seventh phase in the month of April itself. The appointment of teachers will be done through BPSC, which will conduct state level examination. CTET, STET and TET qualified candidates will be able to appear in the exam maximum 3 times. The reinstated teachers will be called government employees. They will also get compassionate benefits like government employees.
4 lakh teachers already employed in the state will also be able to be appointed in this new cadre of state employees through this process. For this, they will be given relaxation of up to 10 years in the age limit. Salary fixation of the old employed teachers who pass the examination will be decided according to their preference.
However, 4 lakh employed teachers are protesting against the fact that they will have to pass the state level exam to become state employees. Apart from this, they are demonstrating in support of many demands including equal work, equal pay.
Teachers are demonstrating across the state
Today, on the occasion of International Labor Day, under the banner of teachers’ organizations, thousands of teachers are protesting against the rules in the district headquarters by taking out protest marches. During this, along with Education Minister Professor Chandrashekhar and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav is shouting slogans. Various other organizations of teachers including Bihar Secondary Teachers Association, Bihar Primary Teachers Association, Bihar State Primary Teachers Association joined in March.
The teachers shouting slogans in the capital Patna said that injustice is being done to the teachers by the Grand Alliance government which came to power by promising to give the status of state employees to the employed teachers. Till the amendment in the New Teacher Rules-2023, the status of state employee, equal pay for equal work is not implemented to the employed teachers, the agitation of the teachers will continue.
