New DelhiIndia has created a new history by winning the Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup 2023. The Indian women’s team won the title by defeating England by 7 wickets in the final match. In the final match, Soumya Tiwari, Trisha and Archana Devi performed brilliantly to give India a deserved victory. Archana, Parshvi Chopra and Titas Sadhu took 2-2 wickets in this match. India won this title under the captaincy of Indian player Shefali Verma.

India bundled out England’s innings for just 68 runs in 17.1 overs. After which the women’s team achieved the target for the loss of three wickets in 14 overs. Soumya Tiwari and G Trisha scored 24-24 runs for India. Both ensured the team’s victory by sharing a 46-run partnership for the third wicket.

Titas was India’s successful bowler. He took two wickets for six runs in four overs. Archana Devi (17 runs in three overs) and Parshvi Chopra (13 runs in four overs) also took two wickets each. Mannat Kashyap (1/13), skipper Shefali Verma (1/16) and Sonam Yadav (1/3) were also among the wicket-keepers.
Defeating England in the final of the ICC Under-19 T20 World Cup India has Named the title. With this win, the women’s team ended the drought of the International Cricket Council (ICC) global title at any level. The senior team has reached the final of the World Cup on three occasions across all formats but fell short of the title each time.
