    A terrorist has been arrested by the alert district police after the Udhampur blast. A sticky bomb, magnetic IED and Rs 20,000 have been recovered from him. The arrested terrorist has been identified as Zakir Hussain Bhat alias Umar Farooq resident of Malad Billawar.

Zakir was in contact with Jaish terrorists sitting in Pakistan through various social media apps. He had got a consignment of IED, through which he was planning to attack in Jammu region.

    According to police he was earlier convicted in a case and was lodged in Kot Bhalwal jail for 14 years and was released in 2019. He developed ties with Pakistan based Jaish terrorists and was trying to revive terrorist activities to disturb peace in Jammu and Kashmir. Police have registered a case and started investigation.

    Security forces on Friday succeeded in recovering a cache of arms, including seven AK-47 rifles, from Gurez in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
