According to media reports, Shami is set to travel to Australia along with other reserve players for the T20 World Cup. Mohammed Shami had corona in the past, due to which he was out of the team. The news of Shami being fit is good news for the selectors as well, as the search was on for his replacement after Bumrah was out.

    Shami to fly with reserve players?

    Shreyas Iyer, Ravi Bishnoi and Mohammad Siraj are the reserve players who will be leaving for Australia. These three players were currently part of India’s ODI squad for the home series against South Africa. It is believed that Mohammed Shami can also go to Australia with him.

    India’s first match in the T20 World Cup is against Pakistan on Sunday, 23 October. A team of 15 players was announced for the T20 World Cup under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma, but Bumrah got injured.
