T20 World Cup final: The Indian cricket team was knocked out of the ICC T20 World Cup. With this, the dream of those cricket fans around the world who were dreaming of a clash between India and Pakistan in the final was shattered. The International Cricket Council (ICC) has also suffered the loss of the Indian team not reaching the final. Ticket prices have dropped for the Pakistan-England final to be held in Melbourne. After not getting buyers of tickets, the ICC had to reduce the prices. Till now the ticket price which was around Rs 24,000 has now been reduced to Rs 18,000. Let us tell you, the ICC T20 World Cup final will be played on Sunday, 13 November at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. While Pakistan has reached the final after defeating New Zealand, England has defeated India.
T20 World Cup final: Loss to ICC
Cricket fans were expecting the final between India and Pakistan. The wait was that as soon as India’s victory was confirmed, tickets for the Melbourne ground would be bought. The ICC was also hoping that if India reaches the final, then a view like 23 October will be seen in the MCG, when India and Pakistan had an exciting match.
The latest news is that the ICC has reduced the ticket prices. Earlier, the minimum ticket price for adults was $299 (approximately Rs 24,400) for the final, which has now come down to $225 (approximately Rs 18,000). Similarly, the cost of children’s tickets has also come down to $ 60.
Team India last reached the final of the T20 World Cup in 2007 and won the title. Millions of cricket lovers of India hoped that Team India would end the 15-year drought by winning the World Cup this time, but it could not happen. Dreams were shattered with a crushing 10-wicket defeat at the hands of England.
