Brisbane: India’s second and final cricket practice match against New Zealand (India vs New Zealand Warm Up) at the Gabba ground here on Wednesday was called off without a ball being bowled due to incessant rain. Teams of both India and New Zealand could not even take the field as it rained during the first warm-up match of the day in which Pakistan were chasing a target of 155 against Afghanistan, playing only two overs. .
Earlier, India defeated hosts Australia by six runs in the first warm-up match here on Monday. The Indian team will start its campaign in the T20 World Cup against arch-rivals Pakistan at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Sunday.
