Notably, not even a single ball could be played in this match. Due to the cancellation of the match, according to the rules of the ICC, both the teams have been given one point each.
Today another match was played at this ground (Melbourne Cricket Ground, Melbourne, Australia) between England and Ireland (IRE vs ENG T20 World Cup, 2022). Rain had disturbed this match as well. Ireland had scored 157 runs in 20 overs while raining first and set England a target of 158 runs to win. England had scored 105 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 14.3 overs. However, it rained heavily and the match was called off and Ireland won by 5 runs as per the Duckworth-Lewis rule.

India second match is to be played against Netherlands tomorrow, Thursday, October 27 (IND vs NED T20 World Cup, 2022) at Sydney Cricket Ground. But, the Meteorological Department has forecast that tomorrow the weather will be favorable in Sydney. There is no chance of rain in the game at the moment. The minimum temperature will be 18 degree Celsius. The probability of the sky being cloudy is only 10%. But, when the weather has taken its turn, no one knows.
