In joint action, SSB and Sahodra police have arrested a smuggler with five kg of ganja and a stolen bike. SP Upendra Nath Verma said that a smuggler was arrested with Gaza and stolen bike during vehicle checking near Pipra Shiv Temple of Sahodara police station area. The arrested smuggler is Shambhu Sahni, a resident of Ajua of Shikarpur police station area.
In the case, Sahodara Police has sent an FIR against Shambhu Sahni to judicial custody under the NDPS Act. It is said that on Saturday, SSB and Sahodra police were conducting vehicle checking campaign. When a suspected bike driver was stopped and searched, five kg of ganja was recovered from him.
After getting the bike verified, the bike turned out to be stolen. Then the police arrested the smuggler and seized the ganja and the bike. Sahodara Police Station President Shyamsundar Ram, 44c Vahini SSB Bhikhanathori Camp’s Naresh Kumar and Sahodara Police Station and SSB jawans were involved in the raid.
