Since, Shan Masood was not wearing a helmet, the injury was severe. Actually, Shaan was waiting for his turn to bat. As soon as the ball hit the head, he fell to the ground and started moaning with the pain of the injury.

Remind you that Shan Masood has made his debut in international T20 cricket in the T20I series (PAK vs ENG T20I Series, 2022) played against England in September this year. He took part in all 7 matches of that series against England. His bat also scored 2 half-centuries in that series. But, in the recent tri-series played in New Zealand, he was seen struggling hard while scoring runs in front of Bangladesh and New Zealand.
