Digital Desk, Mumbai. Actress Palak Jain has now been entered in Ravi Dubey and Sargun Mehta’s Hindi-Punjabi romantic drama series ‘Junooniyat’.
Palak Jain is famous for her characters in serials like ‘Veer Shivaji’ and ‘Sunaina-Mera Sapna Sach Hua’.
Playing the role of Sirat in the show, the actress said that she can relate to the character very well as she feels that she resembles herself to a great extent.
Elaborating on this, she said, “While playing the character of Sirat, I noticed some similarities like spreading happiness around me, which I do in real life. Like Sirat, I always listen to my mother. Whatever she tells me, I never question it, it is final. She is everything to me.”
She added, “Like Sirat, I also take a stand for right and wrong. In my first scene, if someone is calling on the hospital line, I will fight against it like Sirat.”
Talking about her character, she said, “Seerat is a bubbly, outspoken, simple and soft-hearted girl. She fights against the wrong, and does not tolerate injustice. She knows how to take a stand. She is independent minded and has returned from Canada after studying abroad.
Talking about her first experience working with the makers of the show, she said, “This is the first time I am working with Sargun ma’am and Ravi sir and Dreamiyata. I haven’t had a chance to meet him yet, but I really want to.”
“I am extremely happy to be a part of this emotional show full of love. After doing my first scene, I was so happy that I cried in my room. It was a complete joy to play the character of Sirat.”
Created and co-produced by Ravi Dubey and Sargun Mehta in association with Dreamiata Productions, the series Junooniyat starring Ankit Gupta, Gautam Vig, Neha Rana and Rinku Ghosh will stream on Jio Cinema.
