Dhaka: Russell Domingo resigned as the head coach of Bangladesh after the home series loss to India. Domingo joined the Bangladesh team in September 2019 after Steve Rhodes was removed as the head coach. His tenure was till after the 2023 World Cup.
Bangladesh Cricket Board’s head of cricket operations Jalal Yunus told Cricbuzz, “Domingo has tendered his resignation yesterday which has been accepted with immediate effect.” Under Domingo, Bangladesh won T20I series against Australia and New Zealand and won the first Test in New Zealand. Apart from this, ODI series against South Africa and India were also won.
