PM Narendra Modi accused Congress of discrimination against panchayats in Rewa. Targeting the Congress, Prime Minister Modi said – Respected Bapu used to say that the soul of India resides in the villages, but the Congress never listened to Gandhi’s thoughts. In the 90s, food supply was done in the name of Panchayati Raj.
Prime Minister Modi said that since 2014, our government has taken up the task of empowering its panchayats. Today its result is visible. Today the panchayats of India are emerging as the lifeblood of the development of the villages. After independence, the party which ran the government for the longest time broke the trust of our villages.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also attacked Kamal Nath through Chhindwara in his area. Said- The people on whom you trusted for a long time. What are they backward regarding the development of that area. The answer lies in his mind. During the Congress rule, the villages were kept at a lower level. The country cannot progress by giving such step-motherly treatment to the villages. PM Narendra Modi participated in the Panchayati Raj Conference organized on National Panchayati Raj Day in Rewa, MP. He spoke for about half an hour.
The Prime Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of rail projects worth Rs 2,300 crore and 5 tap-water schemes worth Rs 7,853 crore from here.
Narendra Modi also virtually inaugurated doubling of Bina-Kota rail track, gauge conversion and electrification of Chhindwara-Nainpur-Mandla Fort rail track, Birla Nagar-Udi Mode Fort train track and electrification of Mahoba-Khajuraho-Udaipura train track . Rail network in MP is now 100% electric. These rail projects cost more than 2300 crores.
While addressing the Panchayati Raj Sammelan, Shivraj Singh said that the Prime Minister has come to give us the gift of Jal Jeevan Mission. Now if you open the tap, water will come to every house. You will not have to worry about water like before. Today the country is moving forward under the leadership of the Prime Minister. Only the foundation stone of the Bansagar Dam was laid during the Congress rule. Neither has it ever been completed nor will it be built further during his tenure. Now irrigation is being done everywhere in our government. During the Congress rule, there used to be a road in the pit. Today there are gleaming roads in the entire state. Because of this, four wheelers are present in every house today.
