Navratri ends with Ravana Dahan on Vijayadashami in Bhagalpur. Ravan Dahan was organized in the CTS compound of the district. Where about 10 thousand people came to see Ravana burning. Ravan Dahan was delayed by about 20 minutes due to drizzle of rain.

District Magistrate Subrata Kumar Sen, SSP Babu Ram, SP Swaran Prabhat and all the administrative officers of the district were present on the occasion. District Magistrate Subrata Kumar Sen set fire to the effigy of Ravana with his own hands. After which, after a few seconds, the entire effigy started turning into ashes.

However, this time Ravana was burnt with a stick on fire. Earlier Ravana was burnt with firecrackers. But there is no danger due to bursting of firecrackers, that is why it was not used.

During this, the artist involved in the drama troupe, dressed as Ravana, told that, in today’s era, there is Ravana in every house. If you kill me today, from tomorrow Ravana will emerge in every house. I myself am a devotee of Rama, but everyone has Ravana in their mind. The artist appealed to the entire countrymen and said that be a devotee of Ram, not of Ravana, not to show off, wake up the truth of Ram. He said that Vijayadashami is the victory of good over evil.

Subrata Kumar Sen, who reached the spot, told that the people of the entire district have to maintain brotherhood with each other. The meaning of Vijayadashami is to bring goodness by eliminating the evils inside you. All the district residents, awaken the goodness inside you and contribute your part in the development of the district.
