In Bihar’s Saharsa, on Wednesday afternoon, after being referred from Mandal Jail, prisoner Ankit Kumar, who reached Sadar Hospital for treatment along with two security guards, escaped by dodging the policeman. In the past, he was caught red-handed by people while stealing a sack of spices from the local Badi Durga Mandir Gate and handed over to the police. who were sent to jail.
But his health suddenly deteriorated in Mandal Jail. After which he was sent to Sadar Hospital along with two security personnel for treatment. Where at 12:15 o’clock the said prisoner was treated by the doctor present in the emergency. Then he was admitted for better treatment.
After this, he was taken to the prisoner ward located in Sadar Hospital premises. Where both the policemen were sitting inside the ward in the prisoner ward. While the prisoner came out of the ward on the pretext of urinating. After which he escaped by locking the gate of the prisoner’s ward from outside and by jumping over the rear boundary wall.
As soon as the prisoner ran away, both the policemen started shouting loudly. But the prisoner managed to escape till then. Ramchandra Yadav, an eyewitness and treated in Sadar Hospital, told that he is admitted in the male surgical ward located in front of the prisoner ward. They too had gone to the toilet. Then he saw that two policemen had reached the prisoner ward with a prisoner.
Here the policemen went inside with the prisoner. After a while the prisoner came out and the prisoner locked the gate of the main entrance of the ward from outside and jumped over the back boundary wall and ran away. Since his leg was plastered. In such a situation, they could not catch the said prisoner.
