Digital Desk, New Delhi. In a PIL filed in the Supreme Court, a public demand has been made to cancel the certificate of the film ‘Adipurush’. Regarding the film ‘Adipurush’ directed by Om Raut, Advocate Mamta Rani has said in her petition filed in the Supreme Court that the Gods we worship have not been told correctly in the film. The petitioner has also objected to the dialogue of the film.

The petition states that Lord Hanuman, whose name is Bajrang Bali, is using derogatory dialogues in response to his rival Indrajit. Such statements are never used in civilized society, but are spoken only by Gully Boy in India. The petition states that using derogatory words can never be an inspiration to anyone, and showing a great personality and deity like Lord Hanuman in this way is blasphemous, and should be stopped.

The petition also sought to preserve religious manuscripts and texts in their original form. The petition states that the depiction of Ravana, Rama, Sita and Hanuman in Adipurush is in contrast to Maharishi Valmiki’s Ramayana and Tulsidas’ Ramcharitmanas. This feature film is not fit for public exhibition as per section 5A of the Cinematograph Act 1952.
