One arrested in gang-rape case of minor: The incident took place in Patna’s bridal market, will be punished soon under the POSCO Act

The police on Sunday arrested a named accused in connection with the gang-rape of a minor in Dulhin Bazar, Patna. While the other managed to escape. The police has started taking action against the arrested accused under the POSCO Act.

A minor girl was gang-raped by two youths 4 days ago in a village of Dulhin Bazar. It is being told that after the incident, the youths made a video of the rape and told them to make it viral. The family members of the girl troubled by this accident had given a written complaint to the Dulhan Bazar police station. Two youths were named as accused in this case.

After the incident, the police were continuously conducting raids to arrest the named accused. In this sequence, on Sunday, the police got information that the accused of gang rape were hiding in the village.

The Paliganj Police Sub-Divisional Officer formed a team and sent the police there to arrest the accused in a hurry. Taking quick action, the police arrested one of the accused in the case of raping a minor, while the other managed to escape in this case. The police is continuously raiding in search of the second named accused.

Confirming the case, Paliganj Police Sub-Divisional Officer Avadhesh Dixit said that one accused has been arrested while the other who has managed to escape, the police will arrest him soon. He said that the police would make every effort to bring the arrested accused to justice at the earliest by presenting him in the court under the POSCO Act.
