After that Team India has not won any ODI World Cup. Regarding expecting Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma to win the World Cup, former captain and world champion Kapil Dev said that it is futile to expect from them only.
In a special conversation with a news channel, Kapil Dev said that the Indian team cannot rely on Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma or just 2-3 players like them to win the World Cup. He said that the team management should prepare at least 5-6 such match winning players in the team.
Kapil Dev said, “If you want to win the World Cup, then the coach, selectors and team management will have to take some tough decisions. Personal interests have to be put aside and they have to think about the team.”

He said that the young players of the team have to say that this is their time. That is, they have to prove it with their game.
