The special team of Muzaffarpur Police has arrested the notorious criminal Mantu Sharma alias Pradyuman Sharma on Friday. He has been arrested from Mumbai. He is being brought to Patna by flight. From there he will be brought to Muzaffarpur under tight security. Mantu’s arrest is a very important achievement for the district police. He has been active in the world of crime for more than two decades. He has been dominating the contracting of CPWD. If sources are to be believed, the arrest is being told in the case of demanding extortion of Rs 50 lakh from Mithanpura property dealer Vikku Singh alias Bijendra Kumar. Many cases of murder and extortion are also registered against Mantu in Patna and Muzaffarpur. The police is busy investigating the criminal history. Mantu Sharma is considered the master of tender manager of CPWD.

Mantu is a resident of Chhapra

However, the police is yet to officially confirm the arrest of Mantu Sharma. But, it is discussed vigorously in the department. SSP Jayantakant said that just wait a bit. It is known that Mantu Sharma is originally a resident of Bahalolpur village of Parsa police station in Saran (Chhapra) district. But, apart from Muzaffarpur, many cities of Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi etc. have acquired immovable property.

Special team was behind for many days

It is said that a special police team was behind Mantu Sharma for several days. He was in another state on Thursday. On Friday, his location was found by the police in Mumbai. After this, the police arrested him while trapping the location. It is discussed that a huge amount and arms have also been found from him. However, it has not been officially confirmed.

Mantu was arrested from Lucknow in 2014

If police records are to be believed, Mantu Sharma was arrested in 2014 from Lucknow in the murder case of National Litchi Research Guard Ritesh at Musahari. The STF team caught him after an encounter in Gomti Nagar, Lucknow. After this he was brought to Muzaffarpur under tight security. During this he was in jail for a few months. After this, bail was taken from the court in all the cases. Mithanpura was also preparing to file a bail petition in the extortion case.

Mantu Sharma out on bail in former mayor murder case

If police records are to be believed, Mantu Sharma is the primary accused in the murder of former Mayor Sameer Kumar. But, in this case he is out on bail. Also, his name is in the investigation of former Mayor Sameer Kumar murder case. Now in addition to the extortion case, the police is also preparing secretly for interrogation of Mantu Sharma in the murder case of former Mayor Sameer Kumar.
