IMD Weather Update: It is raining in the northern states of the country. Heavy rains are occurring in many areas of hill states including Delhi NCR, Haryana, Uttarakhand. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has said that from September 25, the low pressure area ie low pressure area is likely to move northwards. Water logging conditions can be faced at many places.

According to the weather forecasting agency Skymet, the cyclonic circulation is persisting in the adjoining parts of Northeast Rajasthan, UP. It is spread over a radius of 5.8 km above mean sea level. A trough is extending from a cyclonic circulation over Northeast Rajasthan and UP through MP, North Chhattisgarh and North Odisha up to Northwest Bay of Bengal.

According to Skymet Agency, during the next 24 hours, there is a possibility of heavy rain with light to moderate rain in some parts of Northeast Rajasthan, Delhi NCR, West UP, Haryana, Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland. Light to moderate rain is very likely over parts of Punjab, Sub Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, rest of Northeast India, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, East Rajasthan, MP, Chhattisgarh and Konkan and Goa. On the other hand, light rain may occur over Vidarbha, Marathwada, Telangana, Interior Karnataka, Andaman and Nicobar and Lakshadweep.
