Sandeep Lamichhane told through his social media account that he will return to Nepal on 6 October and will surrender. In his clarification, Lamichhane wrote on Facebook, “I confirm with great hope and strength that I am reaching Nepal on this 6th October 2022 and I am calling myself to the Nepalese authorities to fight the legal battle against the false allegations. I will hand over I reiterate that I am innocent and have unwavering faith in the justice system. I believe in all law and order. I hope to get justice at the earliest.”

Lamichhane further wrote, “My dear well wishers, I assure all of you that I am innocent and I have not done any injustice to you. I have recovered from the unpleasant situation I went through and have prepared myself to prove myself innocent and a victim of conspiracy. I am sure that all the wrong allegations leveled against me will come to the fore with time.”
Interpol had issued a diffusion notice against Sandeep. However, Sandeep has not disclosed where he is at present. The former captain is believed to be in Singapore to seek legal advice.
