The government has canceled 18 licenses of such pharmaceutical companies. For some time, irregularities are being seen regarding Indian medicines going abroad. Along with this, many incidents have happened in the country as well, after which the Government of India, being serious, has taken this strict step.
License of 18 pharmaceutical companies canceled
While canceling the license of 18 pharma companies, the central government has also issued orders to these companies to stop manufacturing. Along with this, permission for special products of 3 pharma companies has also been cancelled.
DCGI trial in 20 states
Citing official sources, the news agency has reported that the Government of India has canceled the licenses of 18 pharma companies for manufacturing spurious drugs after the Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) inspected 76 companies in 20 states.
Notice sent to 26 pharma company
Official sources have come to know that major action is being taken by the government on the pharma companies across the country involved in the manufacturing of spurious drugs. The Drug Controller General of India (DCGI) has also issued show cause notices to 26 pharma companies. It is being told that this campaign of DCGI is being run for about 15 days.
