Melbourne. Legendary Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell said that missing out on the upcoming tour of India due to injury will haunt him for the rest of his life. Maxwell suffered a serious injury to his left leg in November last year during a friend’s birthday party. The incident sidelined him from the game for three months. “It’s probably going to cost me the rest of my life,” Maxwell said while commentating on ‘Fox Cricket’ during a Big Bash League match.
“It is good to have the opportunity to watch my teammates play, especially (in India). I think they (Australia) have found the best team to tour India.”
The Border-Gavaskar Trophy will begin on February 9 with the first Test in Nagpur. Australia will then play in New Delhi (February 17 to 21), Dharamsala (March 1 to 5) and Ahmedabad (March 9 to 13).
