On Monday, a dowry greedy husband strangled his wife to death for a gold ring in Badgaon village of Azimabad police station area of ​​Bhojpur district. According to the information, the deceased is Ramita Devi, 20 years old wife of Om Prakash Chaudhary, resident of Badgaon village of Azimabad police station area. The deceased’s maternal uncle Punvasi Chaudhary has accused the in-laws of strangling them to death for the gold chain and ring. Bhim Chaudhary, a resident of Manaini village of Charpokhari police station area, married his daughter in May 2020 with Om Prakash Chaudhary, son of Badgaon resident Pukar Chaudhary, with full transaction and Hindu customs.

Told that from a few days after the marriage, she was harassed equally by her husband and in-laws for gold rings and sikri. On Monday afternoon too, she called on her mother’s mobile from mobile and said that her husband and in-laws are taunting and harassing her with gold ring and sikri. Shortly after this, information is received again on the phone that he has died.

As soon as the information was received, the relatives of the deceased were going to her in-laws’ house. Then her maternal uncle Shiv Kumar Choudhary, a resident of Malour, saw her in-laws being taken to the Badgaon market to burn the dead body. When they protested, the in-laws also attacked her. Then all the family members of the girl reached there, after which the in-laws fled away leaving the dead body. The family members informed the local police station.

Now the police is investigating the matter from its level. It is said that the deceased was the eldest of his three brothers and two sisters. The family of the deceased consists of mother Rita Devi and three brothers Dhannu, Arvind, Govind and one sister Sunita Kumari. After the incident, there was chaos in the house of the deceased.
