Perth: All-rounder Marcus Stoinis, who helped Australia win the T20 World Cup with an unbeaten 59 off 18 balls against Sri Lanka, has credited the Indian Premier League (IPL) for the change in attitude, especially against the spinners. Stoinis took an aggressive approach against Sri Lankan spin duo Wanindu Hasaranga and Mahish Teeksha and played a key role in helping defending champions Australia win by seven wickets.

“Yeah, IPL definitely changed my cricket and helped me become a better cricketer,” Stoinis said after the match on Tuesday night. “I have been playing in IPL for the last few years where I got to know about different techniques and mindsets about playing spin. It definitely helped me become a better cricketer.”
