The team’s vice-captain Suryakumar Yadav said, ‘It doesn’t matter what kind of soil you are playing on. These are the things which are not in your control. Whatever was in our control, we did in the last game. Whatever situation we have to play in, we have to adapt to it and implement our strategy. It was an exciting match. Whatever be the pitch condition, whatever the format, if two teams are giving each other a tough fight then everything else doesn’t matter. In such a situation, even the wicket should not matter much. You go on the field, accept the challenge and move on.
At the same time, after the second match, Hardik Pandya had said, ‘It was a shocking pitch. We should make sure we have better pitches. Here even a score of 120 runs can be defended. It was a really surprising wicket, the balls were flying even to the fast bowlers.
