The first hat-trick took place in the latest ICC T20 World Cup 2022 tournament released in Australia. UAE spin bowler Karthik Meiyappan took 3 wickets in 3 consecutive balls in the match played against Sri Lanka and created history by taking a hat-trick. He has become the first bowler to take a hat-trick in this latest World Cup.
UAE’s deadly bowler Karthik Meiyappan was the first to catch Sri Lankan batsman Bhanuka Rajapaksa in the 15th over of UAE. His second victims became Charit Aslanka and Dasun Shanaka. He bowled these two batsmen and completed his hat-trick.
