A shocking incident has come to light from Kalaburagi district of Karnataka. When a tractor carrying illegal sand mining was stopped, a police constable was crushed to death by the driver.
This case pertains to Narayan of Jevergi taluk of Kalaburagi, Karnataka. When a constable posted at Nelogi police station tried to stop a tractor carrying illegally mined sand, it was allegedly run over by the tractor driver. Due to which that constable died.
The constable was 51-year-old M Chauhan, who signaled a tractor carrying illegal sand mining to stop during checking, the tractor driver rammed the tractor and the constable died on the spot. According to the police, the tractor driver is Sidhanna who crushed head constable M Chauhan to death while doing so.
While the police have registered a case, Karnataka Minister of State Priyank Kharge informed that he has given strict orders to the police department to take immediate legal action against illegal sand mining. An inquiry has been ordered into the incident.
Karnataka Minister Dr. MC Sudhakar while talking to media about the murder of constable allegedly by sand mafia in Kalaburagi said that it is really shocking case. He said that strict action needs to be taken against those who are behind this, only then the slain constable will get justice.
