Sydney: New Zealand captain Kane Williamson on Tuesday termed the pace bowling of his rival Pakistan (NZ vs PAK) in the T20 World Cup semi-final as “superb” and said that there are many in that team. There are experienced players who are also match winners.
Williamson said on the eve of the match to be played on Wednesday, “They have a great fast bowling attack. They are playing really good cricket. He has a lot of experienced players in his team, who are also match winners. That’s the real strength of that team.”
Williamson also spoke about the dual attitude of the Sydney Cricket Ground pitch on the occasion. “It is very interesting, when we played the first match here, the wicket (pitch) was very good. But it changed a lot during our second match. Many a times when you go on the field, the circumstances of the previous match dominate your mind.

New Zealand’s team missed out on several occasions by approaching the World Cup title in the limited overs format. The team won the opening season title of the World Test Championship last year but lost in the ODI World Cup (2019) on the basis of boundary count.
When Williamson was asked about the team’s performance in ICC tournaments, he said, “You come to win in such tournaments and we have seen that any team can beat anyone. It is quite exciting.” (agency)
