Ahmedabad: Mumbai Indians bowling coach Shane Bond has said that he will work on increasing the pace of Arjun Tendulkar, who currently bowls at around 130 kmph. Arjun Tendulkar had scored 48 runs against Punjab Kings in which he scored 31 runs in one over. However, he made a good comeback against Gujarat Titans (GT), taking one wicket for nine runs in two overs.
Bond (Shane Bond) said in the press conference after Mumbai’s 55-run defeat, “He bowled well today after what happened in the last match.” It is not easy to play in front of such a huge crowd. We will work on increasing his pace but today he did what we told him to do.”

Left-arm pacer Arjun made his IPL debut after a long wait on April 16 at the same Wankhede Stadium where his father Sachin Tendulkar played his last international match. He then conceded 17 runs in two overs and went wicketless. After this, he impressed with his bowling in every match except the match against Punjab Kings.
Bond said, “It is a combination of many things. We are not doing what we should be doing. Our strategy is very simple. We look at the results of bowling in certain areas. When our strategy does not work, we immediately make some changes in it. He said, “It is disappointing that when we are on the backfoot chasing the target, we are not able to differentiate our strategy.” (agency)
