new Delhi: The mini auction of the Indian Premier League 2023 (IPL 2023) is going to be held in Kochi today i.e. Friday, 23 December. More than 900 players had registered their names for this auction (IPL 2023 Mini Auction). But, only 405 players could make it to the final list. Now 10 teams will bid on these players and include those players in their team.
This time the IPL auction is only for one day and many big names are involved in this auction. In such a situation, this auction is also going to be very interesting. There are 405 players in this auction, out of which 273 are Indians while 132 are overseas players. Also, apart from the Test playing countries, four associate countries are also included. There are 119 capped players, 282 uncapped players and 4 players from Associate nations. A total of 87 places will be up for bid in the auction, out of which 30 are reserved for overseas players.

All the teams of IPL had released the list of their retained and released players long back. In the previous mega auction all the teams walked away with the same purse but this time the situation is different. Sunrisers Hyderabad have the highest purse of Rs 42.25 crore. While Punjab Kings is at number two with Rs 32.2 crore. Lucknow Supergiants Rs 23.35 cr, KKR Rs 7.05 cr, and Royal Challengers Bangalore Rs 8.75 cr.
