The Sri Lankan team will be on a tour of India at the beginning of the new year. In this tour, 3-3 ODI and T20I series will be played between Sri Lanka and India. The IND vs SRL ODI and T20I Series, 2023 will begin with the first match of the T20I series on 3rd January. Sri Lanka’s 20-member squad also includes bowling all-rounder Chamika Karunaratne, who was banned for one year by the Sri Lanka Cricket Board.

Despite being banned, how Chamika Karunaratne was selected for this tour will be a big question. The Sri Lankan team will be captained by Dasun Shanaka in this tour and Wanindu Hasaranga will be the vice-captain in the T20 series. Whereas, Kusal Mendis Vice Captain India vs Sri Lanka ODI Series, 2023 will be the Vice Captain in the ODI series.
